Green Valley is
a very special place. With only 4 cottages on 75 acres, our main attraction is seclusion. It's hard to believe that such a peaceful place could lie only hours from some of the East Coast's major cities. Our property is conveniently located in South/Central Pennsylvania and is, approximately, only 90 minutes west of Baltimore and Washington D.C.
Each of our four cottages are fully equipped for your total relaxation with full kitchens and your own private hot tubs and gas fireplaces. We try to provide everything from the pots and pans to the washer and dryer, so that our guests need only bring their food, clothes, and toiletries.
For 3 of our cottages, Green Valley Lake is only a short stroll or bike ride (we provide 2 bicycles at your cottage) from your front door; while Lory Cottage has the added advantage of being our lakeside cottage. At the lake you'll find a pedal boat and a row boat for your enjoyment. The property is covered with marked hiking trails ranging from the very mild to the slightly adventurous.
There is plenty to do at Green Valley, but it's been our experience that our guests' favorite activity is simply, "not doing." Come and see why so many have found our cottages to be the perfect getaway!

My husband and I rented Francena for 3 nights and then Sophronia for 2 nights. Both cottages were equally enjoyable. They are homey and cozy. Both have fireplaces and hot tubs and are relaxing retreats away from home. I recommend visiting this remote retreat to decompress from day to day life. We returned both relaxed and rejuvenated ready to start the year fresh. Cottages are pet friendly and include all the amenities you need.

This cottage was absolutely beautiful! The decor was stunning. It was so peaceful and serene, we didn't want to leave. Nothing beats sitting out on the deck at night in the jacuzzi listening to the sounds of the night. Anyone who rents one of the cottages of Green Valley will be thoroughly pleased. I brought my dog and he was in his glory. You will have one tired pooch when you leave there. It took 4 days after we got back for him to recoop! We couldn't have picked a better place for a get-a-way!

This cottage was absolutely beautiful! The decor was stunning. It was so peaceful and serene, we didn't want to leave. Thank you for sharing your Garden of Eden. This place has a peacefulness we have never experienced. The enchanting butterfly garden, wildlife (especially the deer) and the gorgeous stars at night all add up to a piece of heaven here on earth. Perfect!!

I am 25, and this was my first time trying a rental home for a getaway. The pictures just do not do this cozy little cottage justice - I found it to be about 5x more beautiful in person. It is nice and secluded; you literally feel like you are in the middle of nowhere...and you like it. The owners, however, do not make you feel like you are alone. I found them to be extremely kind, accommodating, helpful, and professional in their dealings with us from the time I called to inquire about the property to our arrival and beyond. We called them out twice within a few hours and they were more than happy to come down and ensure our stay was excellent. It is extremely peaceful and the perfect place to get away from the endless hustle and bustle of your daily life. HIGHLY recommend!
