Our 75 acre property is

the perfect place to find peace and quiet. Originally founded in the 1960s as a campground, Green Valley was reinvented and reopened as our cottage getaway in 1996. For the past 16 years, hundreds of guests have experienced the simple beauty that is Green Valley.
The lake at Green Valley is 3 acres in size and ranges in depth from 4 ft. to 16 ft. Stocked with bass, bluegill, and catfish the lake is a favorite with everyone. A floating dock gives easy access to the pedalboat and rowboat and a fishing dock with adirondack chairs makes a great place to soak up some sun, read, or throw in a line!
The hills and valleys of the property are filled with marked hiking trails for your enjoyment. On a spring day, discover a small waterfall on Smith Run Trail or question the origins of an old abandoned fence on Split Rail Trail. Fill your pockets with wild raspberries in the summertime as you meander down Bill's Trail and rediscover again the simple pleasures of life.

What Our Guests Are Saying

Nov. 20, 2018
We are home, back to our fast paced life.

We ALWAYS feel
rejuvenated after SPENDING time at G.V.

My vacation starts about a month before we arrive.

The anticipation of fresh air, cold creek, open FIELDS, beautiful lake, birds, deer, hiking trails, warm cottage, hot tub, relaxing and being on "cabin time", and our trips "into town".

Then the day finally comes when we pack up and head for Warfordsburg!

The excitement when we arrive at Excelsior Lane and then ...the Gate...
and... Peace!

I hope I've shared with you how  good being at G.V.  feels to us.
Thank You!
