My Aunt started me on a journey of re-reading Green Valley guests book entries from years gone by. Time goes by too quickly, as I was reminded when I came across Francena Cottage's Very First Guests' Log Book.  May 30th 2022 marked the 22nd anniversary of Francena Cottage welcoming guests to Green Valley.  This is the very first guest's entry in Francena's log book. Hundreds more entries would follow and are in journals which line bookcase shelves.  Now it's your turn to experience the beauty of Green Valley.

The ice is gone the creeks and steams are flowing freely Geese and ducks have make a visit to the lake.  And even the Easter Bunny came hoping our way.  Springtime at Green Valley sure does well good !
 January is a time for new beginnings-- and the time of reading books by a warm fire on a winter's day. I don't know the author of these words, but enjoyed discovering them during my winter readings. January "Sparking winter sunshine, faces all aglow, making resolutions, and angels in the snow Steaming cups of cocoa, A year that's fresh and new... All of this is magic- Unfolding just for you." Montgomery   Hush, Can You Hear It? the rustling in the grass, Bringing you the welcome news that Winter's day is past. May Fenn Yes, I know, it's only Feb. 18th, and I'm probably rushing things a bit, but in the sorting of photos these ones just tempted me to say that, "I am anticipating the arrival of Spring to Green Valley".
 It seems I just open a fresh 2019 calendar with pages unmarred by appointments, schedules, events and parties. How can I possibly be on the last page of that calendar? Maybe it's because Time Flies When You're Having Fun??   And it's always fun at Green Valley.  So, let's keep up the fun! Moving on from December 2019 into the fresh new year of 2020.  See Ya Soon!
This bit of wisdom was discovered on an Appalachian Trail marker.  "We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to Rough it! We go to Smooth it! We get it rough enough at home, in towns and cities." Nessmuk, Woodcraft, 1884  I kind of like that...time in the woods, beside the water does make life seem a little "smoother" to me.
