A day of Spring cleaning at my
Green Valley Cottages.
Window washing, deck staining, porch painting, scrubbing and shining
Letting the Spring breeze and sunshine cheer me along in my work.
Getting everything ship shape for
Green Valley's Summer Time Guests.
I'm accomplishing a lot, but it's time for a break, Time to take a walk down the lane.
Time to enjoy what these last days of Spring have to offer me!
Won't you come along?
If you truly love nature.
You'll find beauty everywhere.
Goatsbeard or Bride's Feathers
Such beauty just a stroll along
Green Valley Lake's lane,
But by far, the best treasure found
during my jaunt
Only a few hours old.
Welcome little friend to Green Valley.
I'm glad that for a few minutes I walked away from my work--and I'm happy
that you joined me.

Happy Easter From Green Valley Cottages.
It's almost here!
Only 16 more days until it's officially Spring.
"All winter, snow had covered the ice; the pond lay cold and still under its white blanket. Most of the time there wasn't a sound to be heard. The frog was asleep. The chipmunk was asleep. Occasionally a jay would cry out. And sometimes at night the fox would bark--a high, rasping bark.
Winter Seemed To Last Forever."
"But one day a change came over the woods and the pond."
"Warm air, soft and kind, blew through the trees. The ice, which had softened during the night, began to melt. Patches of open water appeared."
"All the creatures that lived in the pond and in the woods were glad to feel the warmth."
"They heard and felt the breath of spring, and they stirred with new life and hope."
"There was a good, new smell in the air, a smell of earth waking after its long sleep."
The Trumpet of Swan
a good time for reading,
and for dreaming of Spring.

"We had a fantastic time at Green Valley and cannot wait until we can make time to get there again. The cabin was beautiful and having the added feature of the hot tub was the finishing touch.
We hiked the trails even with the snow and ice and had a great time.
Here are some pictures of our stay."
Green Valley is oh so special no matter what the season or weather.
I asked my guests to share their photos with me...and I've discovered that they're not only wonderful people who treasure their time at
Green Valley Cottages,
but they're also pretty good photographers!
The magic's all around us.
If only we take time to look.
Sometimes it's right outside our window on an icy winter's day.
Or can be found on a
Thanks, my special guests for sharing with me...for sharing with others.

"Can't remember the number of times we've stayed at this place, but it's always like the first each time.
Always something to discover!
"This place never disappoints!"
"This time we arrived with the snow.
We saw a dozen deer on the lane on our way in as if they were our welcoming committee."
"Even got to sit in the hot tub in the snow--a Bucket List"
It's always great to read my guests' log entries.
Why don't you come to Green Valley soon.
Maybe the friendly deer will be there to greet you.
We Say, "Welcome 2019".
It's A New Year with New Moments for the making of memories.
The New Year is open to us, like the pages of a book.
"Tomorrow, is the first blank page of a 365 page book.
Write a good one.”

Winter solstice is almost here.
December sings with the merriment of the Holiday season, and the proclaiming that the end of another calendar year has come.
The possibility of having a snow day and being unable to go to work.
And maybe spending that snowy day at Green Valley.
With its crisp, cool air.
A soft, glistening of fresh snow. Fireside cups of steaming hot cocoa, hot tub time, walks in the snow,
quiet all around!
I could learn to love you!
