Our first full day it rained-torrentially. 
At first we were disappointed that we couldn't explore the beautiful property, but then we discovered the pleasure of sitting in the protected porch chairs while the rain fell on the tin roof.

It was one of the most relaxing mornings and afternoons we've ever spent!

When the skies did finally clean mid-morning the following day, the sunshine felt that much sweeter.
The birds sang and the butterflies danced.

The memories are deeply rooted in our hearts and we hope to be back to make more."

Today is a blue sky, green grass, breezes blowing sort of day.
The rains of the past three days has washed our world looks fresh and clean.

Today I just have to get outside and look up at the dancing leaves, green against the blue sky.
Life is everywhere. There's always something new bursting forth in the valley, if only I will take time to stop all the noise inside my head, look, and listen.  
I need to hit that Pause button before the beauty of this day passes me by.

I take another deep breath.   It's a day of contemplation, unwinding, renewing.
Listen, the birds are singing their song.   And it's a happy one!

Welcoming Spring at Green Valley means getting the lake ready for your fishing pole. We just stocked it for the season last week! Is there anything more relaxing than laying back in an Adirondack chair waiting for a bite?

Some place cool and green and shady ? Green Valley in August ! The "Dog Days of Summer" have settled into the valley bringing warm sunny days and cool starry nights. The deer are either going into the creek or coming out it seems. Yesterday I watched a Doe & fawn stroll up stream and around the bend, nibbling on leaves as they went. Nice way to eat lunch on a hot Summer day ! Fishing has been good this summer and a guest in Lory Cottage has taken a 22 in. Bass to have mounted. Congratulations ! The nights are filled with one of my favorite sounds, Katydids ! When I was a boy, I spent many Summer nights in a sleeping bag by a campfire near the lake at Green Valley. The Katydids would sing me to sleep and the call of the Crows would wake me in the morning. Wow, that's been 40 couple years ago ! Nice to know the campfires are still burning and the Katydids are still singing folks to sleep.....Have a happy dream.............
