After The Rain

Today, between guests, while I wait on the laundry to dry,
I decide to do some office work from Lory Cottage.
I head to the front porch, open my computer,
and here I am!

It's a good place to write, and after nonstop rain for the past five days, it feels good to be outside in the sunshine again listening to the birds' songs and the whirl of the lawn mower.

During Deb's time at Lory Cottage earlier this month, she wrote that "In a world and culture so immersed in violence, greed, arrogance and bullying..in a world and culture bombarded with noise pollution, light pollution...
There is this World of Green Valley Cottages.
A haven, a respite, a profound blessing.
A little bit of heaven for the weary traveler.
And one definition of heaven on earth is--A hallowed haven in an uncertain world.
That is exactly how I would describe your beautiful setting - a place where you can marvel at all that God has created and feel safe".

I may be biased, but I think Deb's got it just about right!
